Where is the Sandals Grande St Lucian?
This resort is located on St Lucia’s northwest coast, about six miles from Castries, St Lucia’s capital city. The resort sits on a mile-long peninsula between the Pigeon Island National Park and Rodney Bay, and its beach is known as St Lucia’s most beautiful beach, with the calmest waters around the entire island. Views of both the Atlantic and Caribbean can be seen from the property. Yes, this is true location perfection!
We loved the location of the resort. We spent lots of time walking the beautiful beach, and also walked to Pigeon Island twice (and took in an amazing sunrise there). Though the resort is at the far Northern end of the island, we were able to go off-site as often as we wanted to explore other parts of the island, join tours, or take complimentary shuttles to the other Sandals St Lucia properties.

Is the Sandals Grande St Lucian a good choice for couples and honeymoons?
I think that the Sandals Grande St Lucian is an absolutely perfect resort for couples, honeymoons, weddings, and those looking for an exotic romantic getaway. In fact, I consider it one of the best honeymoon resorts in the Caribbean. Read on to find out why!
To start with, the resort’s location is jaw-dropping beautiful, combining the perfect synergy between mountains, sea, and white-sand beach. The sunsets from this location are absolutely spectacular, and the resort itself gleams with pure luxury and elegance around every corner. Romance is easy here, in an idyllic environment just breathing with beauty, perfectly set up for couples to enjoy each other.

With Sandals’ “Stay at One, Play at Three Exchange Program”, your dining options expand to a whopping 27 restaurants! You can dive at two other resorts, and enjoy the activities and ever-changing entertainment at the resort of your choice each evening.
Complimentary shuttles provide round‑trip transfers between all three Sandals resorts in St Lucia.

What are the rooms like at the Sandals Grande St Lucian?
Sandals Grande St Lucian has 301 rooms and suites that fall into 16 unique categories, with three different levels of service:
Butler Level: The top tier of service. Guests that opt for the butler-serviced rooms will be given a cell phone from which they can dial their dedicated butler whenever they have a request – anything from reserving spa appointments, ordering drinks by the pool, recommendations for dinner locations, or even setting up a special surprise for their significant other!
Concierge Level: This second tier of service allows guests access to Club Sandals, which is a private, air-conditioned club lounge where guests can grab a drink and a snack as they meet privately with the concierge.
Entry-Level: These rooms do not have access to a butler or the Club, but guests can still access everything else available on the resort property.
All rooms feature colonial Caribbean-style furnishings including four-poster king beds. A neutral color palette combines pretty tile floors, textured rugs, and fluffy white duvets. All of the rooms have air-conditioning, mini-fridges stocked with beverages, coffeemakers, and either a balcony or a patio.
There are a variety of room types across the entire property for different price ranges, and all prices include the all-inclusive package. Every couple is sure to find something here that is perfect for them!
Overwater Bungalows at Sandals Grande St Lucian:
Who hasn’t dreamt about staying in an overwater bungalow, with a glass floor from which you can watch the undersea world?
Sandals introduced the first overwater bungalows at its Jamaica property, and they also have an amazing offering at Sandals Grande St Lucian. The 9 on-property overwater bungalows have glass floor panels, serene outdoor soaking tubs and showers, and private patios with hanging overwater hammocks. Simply amazing!
We didn’t stay in these bungalows, but we did receive a tour of them, and they’ve definitely made it onto my bucket list.
These overwater bungalows are indeed straight out of a daydream, but they do book up fast, so reserve yours as soon as possible if you’re planning on making this dream a reality!
What activities are there to do on and around the resort?
Watersports are popular at this resort, and there are so many options that are included in your stay, using top of the line equipment.
This includes kayaking, wakeboarding, windsurfing, snorkelling, sailboats, paddleboarding, kneeboarding, waterskiing and more! Professional instruction is also available.

You can also play golf, whether you’re a beginner or a master!
Sandals has two challenging golf courses on St Lucia (Sandals Regency La Toc Golf Club and Sandals St. Lucia Golf & Country Club at Cap Estate). Green fees and complimentary transfers are included for all Sandals guests.
If you’re more into staying on-resort, there are a ton of activities you can partake in around the resort, such as: beach volleyball, table tennis, croquet, pool, tennis, board games, giant Jenga and Connect 4, etc.
If you’re interested in exploring the area around the resort, I highly recommend a visit over to Pigeon Island National Landmark, just an 8-minute stroll away from the resort. Besides offering two lovely beaches, it also features the ruins of military buildings used during the war, a restaurant and pub serving up local cuisine with a historical theme, and a lookout point at the top of the Fort which provides a stunning panoramic view of the Northwest coastline. My husband and I went her for our honeymoon and then back for our 1st anniversary. We consider this place our 2nd home. The staff is so accommodating and friendly. The food is amazing and the scenery absolutely breath taking. Can’t wait until we go back as we miss it so much.
