We first need to start by talking about the aesthetic beauty of this place. The grounds are lush and immaculate, with a beautiful layout of perfectly-spaced cabins. Even though you’re on a cabin resort, you still feel as if you’re in your own private little piece of the forest along the river.
And can we please also focus on that adorable, vintage red GMC truck parked near the main office where you check in – so Instagramable!
From May to October, Alpine Village Cabin Resort offers seasonal accommodation where you can choose your dream cabin. They have a wide selection of options, from upscale luxury chalets with wood-burning fireplaces and kitchens to quaint, more rustic heritage log cabins.
THE LOCATION – JASPER CABINS AT ALPINE VILLAGE
Alpine Village offers an authentic “cabin in the woods” experience, spread across 11 acres of property situated along the Athabasca River.
From the property, guests will have gorgeous views of Mount Edith Cavell and Tekarra Mountain. Majestic wildlife frequents the property, and lucky guests can see elk, black bears, and even grizzly bears.
Downtown Jasper is located only a short 2km from the property, so you can choose to walk, bike, or drive there to browse the adorable shops and try the delicious restaurants downtown.

Jasper Cabins – Alpine Village’s Cozy Cabins
We stayed in the Deluxe Bedroom Suite, which was located in a gorgeous duplex cabin.
The room had 1 cozy, plush king bed facing a beautiful wood-burning fireplace, vaulted ceiling with skylight, and a living area with sofabed.
There was a designer bathroom with a HUGE walk-in shower and shower bench – and two shower heads!
We enjoyed our coffee on the massive private outdoor deck with forest view.
What a beautiful place to celebrate our engagement!

One of the best things about Alpine Village is the family who owns it!
The Allin family has owned and operated the resort for over 35 years, and you feel their warm hospitality throughout the entire property.
Chris, a math teacher, and Rena, a graphic designer, married in 1986. Immediately following their wedding, they moved everything they owned to Jasper to embark on this adventure! Their three children, Cassi, Natalie & Sean, all help at the resort in various positions. We met Natalie, who handles their marketing and social media, and she is beautiful, bubbly, and so sweet!
Alpine Village Cabin Resort is one of the few remaining family-owned and operated resorts in Jasper National Park (as well as Banff and Lake Louise), and it shows in their attention to detail and friendly hospitality. You’ll feel it, too!
