Where is Victoria House Resort located?
The Belizean island of Ambergris Caye is home to Victoria House. The main settlement on the island, popular San Pedro Town, is located about two miles south. Ambergris Caye is the largest island in Belize and it has a lot to offer, including enticing restaurants, vibrant nightlife, adventurous excursions, or simply some relaxed downtime on the beach soaking in the sun.
With its award-winning luxury accommodations and prime location on one of the best stretches of sand in Belize, Victoria House is widely regarded as one of the best resorts on Ambergris Caye. Getting to Victoria House:
First, you’ll likely fly into Belize City. The quickest and easiest way to get to Ambergris Caye from Belize City is to take a 15-minute commuter flight with one of the two major airlines: Tropic Air (www.tropicair.com) or Maya Island Air (www.mayaislandair.com).
Once you’ve booked your accommodation for Belize City, the Victoria House team would be happy to help you plan your subsequent flights. Just provide them with the names of all of the people who are travelling with you, as well as your expected arrival and departure timings.

The Food at Victoria House:
Dining options at Victoria House Resort and Spa range from intimate candlelit meals on the pier to freshly made ceviche and creative cocktails at Admiral Nelson’s Bar. We loved the food here and didn’t want to eat offsite at all – it was excellent!
Victoria House has three conveniently situated on-site restaurant options:
Palmilla Restaurant:
I highly recommend for you to experience the on-site, full-service Palmilla Restaurant at Victoria House. Offering breakfast, lunch, and supper every day, visitors can unwind here and savour fine meals while admiring beautiful seaside views. Choose to dine indoors in comfort with air conditioning, or outside on our balcony beneath the stars listening to the waves.
The cooks take great pleasure in producing beautiful dishes with a regional flair. To assure the utmost in freshness, quality, and taste, they create each and every meal to order.

Admiral Nelson’s Bar:
Victoria House’s fun and casual beach bar, Admiral Nelson’s, offers views of the Caribbean Sea and the Belize Barrier Reef from a beautiful palapa-style structure.
Guests congregate here in the evenings to tell stories from the day’s experiences in Belize, and it offers a friendly and relaxed atmosphere (and board games, too!)
Admiral Nelson’s is a spot to unwind and eat some delectable appetisers prior to dinne, such as some of their mouthwatering fish and chips, coconut shrimp, or some fresh fish tacos with a cool beer. And the drinks creations are fantastic!
The bar is open from 7:00 AM to 11:00 PM – however, it’s said that it stays open until the last patron has left.
Private Dinners:
Looking to celebrate a special occasion? What could be more romantic than a private candlelit meal on the beach with a view of the sea and the stars?
Victoria House loves planning romantic dinners where you can dine at an intimate beach table or in the privacy of their pier gazebo, both of which are illuminated by tiki torches and exposed to the tropical sky.
The specialized and highly-skilled chefs at Palmilla Restaurant will create your preferred culinary delights from the dinner menu, enhancing this exotic atmosphere and creating an unforgettable evening. Definitely a must-do for a honeymoon!
The Spa at Victoria House Resort:
Victoria House Resort & Spa has a beautiful full-service spa and fitness centre. The building is the biggest of its kind on Belize’s Ambergris Caye, at a sizeable 3,500 square feet. The building has a Caribbean colonial style and is surrounded by bougainvillaea, coconut trees, and flamboyants, offering a space for you to find indulgence, inspiration, and rest.
The spa and fitness centre’s focal point is a central cupola that stands 26 feet tall and has 11-foot ceilings, hardwood flooring, and massive windows that let in natural light. Four spa treatment rooms (including one for couples!) are available at the spa. Gorgeous French doors in three of the rooms lead to a quiet natural courtyard. Can you say “Ahhhhhh?”
The spa offers over 35 unique treatments! You can take advantage of a hot stone massage or a trademark relaxing massage. Enjoy a revitalising sour cherry antioxidant body wrap or a coco body polish. Give yourself a pedicure or a facial that includes deep cleaning. They also provide paediatric treatments and romantic couple’s therapies for you and your love.
The spa will also come to you, if you prefer a different location. We loved the sea views here and ended up having a romantic seaside couples massage set up in the palapa right over the water. It was amazing!

VILLAS & CASAS
Are you looking for opulent and spacious lodgings for a family or group? Victoria House’s freestanding Villas and Casas, which are up to 5000 square feet and have two to five bedrooms, are guaranteed to please!
Each property has its own verandah with breathtaking views of the Caribbean Sea and furnishings made locally from wicker and mahogany. Each of the Casas, Casa Azul and Casa Playa Blanca, has its own pool too!
CASITAS
The adorable tropical Casitas are self-contained and are 375 square feet. They have a private veranda and hammock for total relaxation. All seven Casitas have views of the Caribbean Sea, which is viewable from a large area of lush lawn, grand palm trees, and a white sand beach. Each features a private entrance, a queen bed covered in ornate netting, handcrafted mahogany furniture, a bathroom with a shower, and is most ideal for two people. They’re cute as a button, and just a few steps from one of the pools!
PALMETO ROOMS
For couples seeking romance in an Ambergris Caye luxury resort, the Palmetto Rooms at Victoria House Resort and Spa are an ideal choice!
All of the beachfront Palmetto Rooms allow you to see the daily sunrise over the Caribbean. Each property at this Ambergris Caye luxury resort has a separate veranda or balcony for you and your partner to enjoy, as well as individual entrances, making it perfect for two people. There is plenty of room to spread out and unwind at 375 square feet. A plush king-size bed covered in ornamental netting, exquisite Belizean mahogany furnishings, and a bathroom with a tiled shower are included in each apartment. Dreamy indeed!

Our Review of Victoria House as a Belize Honeymoon Resort
Victoria House Resort and Spa is such a fantastic choice if you’re looking for a high-end luxury resort on Ambergris Caye. You’re far enough away from the noise and chaos of San Pedro, but just a short golf cart ride away if you do wish to go into town. But the grounds are so lovely, you won’t want to leave!
The sandy and expansive beach here is beautiful, and the food is superb. The onsite spa and fitness centre is unique and top of the line, and we were treated so well by the staff. 5 stars from us – we will be back!
