Who started Charmed Family Resorts?
Charmed Family Resorts, a family business, was the brainchild of Audrey Leavitt and her husband, Tyson Leavitt. Together, Audrey and Tyson wanted to create a safe, magical, and family-friendly retreat for people looking to experience a bit of fun in nature. Darrel Zaugg joined in 2003 to help them bring their vision to life. The three of them took their combined experience from managing resorts, hotels, and campgrounds over the years and combined that with Audrey’s passion for hospitality and interior design – creating the perfect combination that has made Charmed Family Resorts the magical getaway it is today!

Lia’s Cottage
Lia’s Cottage is home to Charmed Resorts’ youngest mountain elf, Lia! Lia is a healing elf and spends her time on the mountainside, picking herbs and wildflowers, which you will see in the cottages’ lovely floral aesthetic. When Lia departs for a longer excursion, her cute little home becomes available for smaller families or couples to rent!
Lia’s cottage is 220 square feet and sleeps 4 comfortably. It also has a wood-fired hot tub, firepit, outdoor BBQ grill, and an electric fireplace.
Midsummer Cottage
This adorable cottage was inspired by Shakespeare’s “A Midsummer Night’s Dream”. It’s a place where playful fairies come and go when they think their human visitors aren’t looking. The faeries enter through their own little fairy door in the willow tree fireplace and leave their fairy circle around the outdoor fire pit at the cottage so their human families have a comfortable place to relax and tell stories.
This cottage sleeps 6, has an attached outdoor swing, and a wood-fired hot tub, firepit, an outdoor BBQ grill, and an electric fireplace.
Rapunzel’s Cottage
Rapunzel has turned her tower in the woods into a gorgeous cottage that you can book while she is away. During your time in her cottage, you’ll experience bits and pieces of her lovely life full of rainbows, sunshine and flowers. Her cottage offers up a queen bed, a loft with two singles, and an additional 2 small round beds, allowing you to sleep up to 4 adults and 2 children. One of the best parts about her cottage is her pink kitchenette, which is a hit with the kids. Even better yet are her purple toilet and sink! This is the most popular cottage at Charmed, so be sure to book ahead of time if you have your heart set on staying here.

Elvyn’s Cottage
This is the cozy cottage home of Elvyn, the oldest of 3 elves who live on Crowsnest Mountain. Elvyn feels the most at home among the trees, and this is reflected in his cottage, which has rustic and woodsy touches all throughout the interior of his cottage. The elves are known for their good deeds, so Charmed recommends being sure to focus on your own for each other! This cottage features a queen-sized bed, a kitchenette, and a fireplace, making it the perfect family getaway to relax and explore the surrounding nature as Elvyn would!

Rumpelstiltskin’s Tower
The misunderstood Rumpelstiltskin has a heart of gold, and is quite the prankster. This mischievous personality trait will be reflected throughout the rustic-ornate-interior of his tower during your stay. This goblin, who was banished to the woods, has a penchant for the finer tastes in life, and you’ll love staying in his tower during your visit to Charmed Resorts!
Rumpelstiltskin’s Tower sleeps 6 and has an electric fireplace, wood-fired hot tub, firepit, and an outdoor BBQ griddle.
Gingerbread Cottage
This is the home of the Wicked Witch in the story of Hansel and Gretal. She makes some Charmed visitors nervous, but when she is away, you can stay in her cottage! This is a great place to stay for anyone who enjoys the darker sides of fairytale stories, and also for those who don’t, who will still love staying in this candy-covered cottage – if you can resist taking a bite out of it, of course!
The Gingerbread Cottage sleeps 6 and has an electric fireplace, wood-fired hot tub, firepit, and an outdoor BBQ griddle.
Jack’s Cottage
Jack decided to leave the Beanstalk that was growing next to his mother’s cottage and head off on some adventures, and now you can stay in his and his mother’s cottage during your visit to Charmed! Kids will love the built-in slide in the treehouse, which is 3 stories tall, and fairy lights that add a magical fairytale ambiance.
Jacks’ Cottage sleeps 6 and has a kitchenette, electric fireplace, picnic table, wood-fired hot tub, firepit, and an outdoor BBQ griddle.
Wendy’s Townhouse
This is where the story of Peter Pan truly begins! The author of Peter Pan, JM Barrie, used his own townhouse located in London as inspiration for the novel in 1904, and now you can visit a rendition of it at Charmed! Wendy’s home offers two floors with enough beds to sleep a family of 6. Come begin your own adventure to Neverland in this lovely cottage at Charmed Resorts!

Hook’s Pirate Ship
Peter Pan and the Lost Boys’ enemy, Captain Hook, lives right next door to them! Hook’s Pirate Ship is now open for guests to stay in while he’s sailing away doing pirate things.
